Pep Guardiola: Manchester City not ready to win Champions League

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says his side are still not prepared to win the Champions League, insisting they have plenty to operate on.
The Premier League winners reacted to this 2-0 loss to Wolves with a triumph by the Exact Same scoreline at Crystal Palace on Saturday at the Start of October.
Liverpool is still trailed by city after dropping twice this year and will be next in action on Tuesday at home to Atalanta in Group C of the Champions League.
It’s a contest Guardiola and that the club have longed to triumph, however the Spaniard indicated after the victory at Selhurst Park which it’s a long way.
“We miss a lot of opportunities in the last third and we have to do that to be clinical. When the people today say regarding the Champions League function as goal, we’re still not ready,” he said.
“We produce a lot and we do not concede, however we can still improve. We are a staff in the previous two seasons that score a good deal and create a lot. I don’t have doubt about that, but still we have to keep going and operate on this.”
Guardiola declared the save Ederson made from Christian Benteke at the second half, that ensured City stayed in Selhurst Park in control.
Had the Palace replacement netted at the minute, it would have put up a spectacular finale in London.
Yet City stayed on top and should have scored a couple late on with Kevin De Bruyne hitting the post and Raheem Sterling firing wide from close range.
It didn’t matter, following goals and also Guardiola praised the Brazilian forwards, who netted his 50th goal for the club since going worth a reported #27m.
“He [Jesus] will have a very long career and with his mindset he will have success. He is hungry, he will grow to be an important striker round the world and we are fortunate to have him,” Guardiola added.
“Gabriel was consistently good from the start. He had the two harms that are tough. Last season it was tough for himafter the World Cup it was not easy, but he’s powerful.
“He is a number nine to Brazil. The club brought an incredible, young player for an unbelievable price. One of the greatest signings.
“To contend Sergio [Aguero] is maybe the most difficult thing. Sergio is a legend, even an player – astonishing, but Gabriel is so calm.
“He is a rival, he accepts the decision and every coaching session that he fights like an animal, but he’s so young and could improve.”
