Henrikh Mkhitaryan says unhappiness led to his loan move away from Arsenal

Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he needed to leave Arsenal to”get pleasure playing football again”, as he combined Roma on loan this summer.
He scored eight goals in 39 league games during his time at north London, also joined the Gunners in Manchester United in 2018.
The Armenian, who scored two goals on Sunday in his country Qualifier triumph over Bosnia, felt he had to leave England into re-find his passion.
He explained:”I have to enjoy playing football, regardless of the place. In England, I felt joyful.
“I got a call from my agent and I wished to come, because it was a wonderful opportunity for me. I didn’t have a discussion with my broker about money.
“Perhaps I was not fitting so well in British football, so I feel a change was good.”
The winger signed out of Borussia Dortmund for Manchester United, before joining Arsenal at a swap deal.
Mkhitaryan says that he now wants to concentrate on his new struggle in Italy.
He explained:”The last month at Arsenal I was not happy, so that’s why I stated it was better to return to Roma and to find happy and to receive the enjoyment from playing football again.
“Now I am at Rome and that I concentrate on them. As good football is performed here, this is not a step backwards. I wished to change landscape and for me personally it is an chance to be defeated.”
